DEC17TH

That Girl & The Wild Panthers window performance

On the special date of December 17th (International Day against Violence towards sex workers), That Girl and The Wild Panthers invested a window in the red light district of Geneva, invited by Art au centre Geneva, in conjunction with Aspasie, an association defending sex workers rights. On this special occasion, That Girl became three dimensional for the first time, and had the Wild Panthers rocking by her side, while she stayed as still as she was actually made of plastic, spinning on a rotating platform during the whole performance.

The mask created by Nagi Gianni and the synthetic boobs being held on the rotating platform contributed to accentuate the weirdness of the scenery. The motto SEX WORK = WORK and stock exchange images of money passing endlessly from hand to hand were displayed on the backdrop. That night, a solid crowd showed up and the feeling was just as surreal inside or outside the window!
